It’s great to hear from you guys. We are doing well and slowly adjusting to our totally new lifestyle. There have been a lot of huge changes, but we are praying in the long run the changes are more eternal. We are definitely becoming warm blooded, and when I read about the -30 temps back home, can’t say I am unhappy to be here.

Great to catch up with you, it certainly sounds as though you are captivated with a different world. We could all use a little warmth and water this time of year. Do you have a regular email address? Wow, Glenn, this is awesome!! I somehow came across you on Facebook and saw this letter. Way to make a few changes in your life post troopers! You all look great and although I am now living in Colorado, I am still jealous of your ability to jump in the ocean whenever you want. Glad to hear you are living life and having fun!!

Apparently not so different: I went out on the surfboard yesterday, and the water was so deep when I jumped off, it went over my head. Sounds exactly like your adventure. Hard to believe this is the same Pacific Ocean that I spent years scouring for salmon with you, and you continue to scour. Grandma can’t believe it either. I think she is having a good time though. Hi you all: What a different Christmas is an understatement. You probably know that we are having one of the heaviest snows in a decade. We, grandpa, Grandma, Mikkelsens, Sandstroms did a snowmachine trip up the mountain. When I got off my snowmachine I sank about 3 feet into the snow. It has been one of those years of tree bending under the load. Sorry that I do not have some pictures to share.

It looks like your not suffering down there, really enjoyed the pictures. Say Hi to everyone.

Hey thanks Chris, great to hear from you. It was pretty amazing here, different for sure. The wind made it perfect. The only down part is this week between Christmas and New Years is a big party week down here for the locals from San Jose, so all our beaches are packed. We got used to having them to ourselves. I talk to Paul once in a while and he says you are doing well. God Bless and have an amazing New Year. Glenn

The pictures you posted were amazing. Christmas here in Soldotna was ushered in with 4 inches of snow and a cold breeze in the air. Your sunset and beach looked like an amazing Christmas setting. You were in my familes prayers this Christmas. Stay safe, have a happy new years and keep the SPF 3000 on.
